It depends. Every programme here is bespoke and each trainer sets their own rates, so there is no price list to quote from. Sessions are booked one at a time or in blocks - there is no membership and nothing that renews on its own. Everyone starts with the free assessment, and at the end of it your trainer goes through what makes sense for you and what it would cost, with no pressure to continue.
No. You book sessions, not a plan. Nothing renews in the background and there is nothing to cancel if life changes.
About thirty minutes with a trainer: how you move, how you stand, and where you may be compensating, with basic health markers where they are useful. You leave with a clear picture of your starting point and what training would involve, whether or not you book.
Sessions are typically around an hour, one on one. How often depends on you and your goals - many people train once or twice a week - and your trainer will suggest a rhythm after the assessment.
No. Complete beginners train here alongside people who have trained for years, and nobody is tested, timed or compared to anyone else. If you have a medical condition, check with your doctor before starting any new exercise programme.
Comfortable clothes you can move in, trainers, and a water bottle. Everything else is here.
Some soreness after training is normal, especially early on. Sessions are built around your body and adjusted as you go. If anything ever hurts rather than aches, tell your trainer straight away, and see your doctor if you are ever concerned.
Often, yes - but only once your doctor or physio has cleared you to train. We are personal trainers, not medical practitioners: we do not diagnose or treat injuries, and any clinical care stays with your health professional. We assess how you are moving now and build strength back carefully from there.
Let us know as early as you can and we will do our best to find you another time. Any cancellation terms are explained when you book.
We aim to reply within one working day. If it is urgent, call or text 021 0854 0017.

Yes. Pick on the contact form, or let us match you with the right person for your goals.
A private studio, not a gym floor. Free weights and plates, squat stands, sleds, an Exerfly, Swiss balls, plyo boxes, stall bars, medicine balls, bands and the RMT rope we teach with, plus treadmills for conditioning. There is a treatment room for bodywork and an infrared sauna; availability of those depends on the trainer and the day, so ask at your assessment. Everything is there for a reason.
Ask us - semi-private sessions for two, and small-group or team training, are available depending on the trainer and the schedule. Everyone still starts with their own assessment.
Yes, for existing clients: between studio sessions your programme lives in our online training portal, with a video of each exercise and the sets, reps, tempo and rest written out. Online-only programming may be available if you cannot get to St Heliers - ask at your assessment.
Raw Ener-Chi is located at 60 Waimarie Street, St Heliers, Auckland 1071. We offer one-on-one personal training sessions seven days a week, tailored to your goals - whether that's building strength, losing weight, recovering from injury, or boosting athletic performance.
Our strength and conditioning programs are designed for both everyday athletes and high-performance competitors. Led by Joe (C.H.E.K Exercise Coach), each program is built around movement assessments and tailored progressions to help you get stronger, move better, and perform at your peak.
Yes. Recovery is a core part of our holistic methodology. We combine massage, detox protocols, and targeted conditioning work to support faster recovery, reduce injury risk, and keep you performing consistently.
We take a whole-person approach - training the body, mind, and spirit together. Our method integrates personal training, strength and conditioning, structural bodywork, detox, and massage into a single personalised program. This is based on the C.H.E.K methodology, practised by both Joe and Rod on our team.
Yes. Our trainers work with high-performing athletes and busy professionals across Auckland. Joe specialises in strength and conditioning. Rod has 20+ years of experience in holistic coaching and structural bodywork. Maeve specialises in postural assessment and personalised training plans.
At our St Heliers studio we offer: strength training, postural and movement assessments, injury rehabilitation, massage therapy, detox programs, and performance conditioning - all under one roof.
A well-designed strength and conditioning program improves power output, movement efficiency, and injury resilience. At Raw Ener-Chi, every program starts with a movement assessment so we can identify weaknesses and build a plan that transfers directly to your sport or lifestyle.
We use a combination of soft tissue massage, corrective exercise, detox support, and structured rest programming. The right recovery strategy depends on your training load, sport, and lifestyle - which is why we personalise every plan.
You start with a free assessment where we learn your goals, history, and movement patterns. From there you get a program built specifically for you - not a template. Sessions run at our St Heliers studio with your dedicated trainer.
