PRIVACY STATEMENT

This statement explains what personal information Raw Ener-Chi Personal Training ("Raw Ener-Chi", "we", "us") collects through this website, why we collect it, who sees it, and the choices you have. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Who we are

What we collect

• When you send an enquiry or book a free assessment: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your training goal, the trainer you would like to work with, and anything you write in the message box.
• When you join our mailing list: your email address and the page you signed up from.
• When you browse the site: anonymous usage data collected by Google Analytics, such as the pages you view, the type of device you use, and your approximate location. This is not used to identify you.

Providing your details is voluntary. If you choose not to, we may not be able to reply to your enquiry or book your assessment.

Why we collect it

To reply to you, to book and run your sessions, to keep a record of our contact with you, and, only if you ask for it, to send you occasional studio news. We use analytics to understand which pages help people so we can improve the site. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to training with us.

Who sees it

Your enquiry is stored in our website's private content system and emailed to the studio team. Three providers process information on our behalf and are bound to keep it confidential: Makings (Auckland), who build and maintain the website and its content system; SendGrid, which delivers our notification emails; and Google, which provides analytics. Some of these providers store data on servers outside New Zealand. We only use providers whose privacy safeguards are comparable to those required in New Zealand.

We will share your information beyond this only if the law requires it or you ask us to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while we are in contact with you and for up to two years after our last contact, then deleted. Mailing-list details are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained by Google according to the retention period set in our account, currently 14 months.

How we protect it

The website and its content system are served over an encrypted connection, access is limited to the studio team and our website provider with individual logins, and the content system is backed up regularly.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@rawener-chi.nz or call the studio and we will respond promptly, and within 20 working days at most. You can unsubscribe from studio news at any time using the link in any email we send or by asking us.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, which sets a small number of cookies to distinguish visitors and measure how the site is used. No other tracking or advertising cookies are set. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; every part of the site still works without them.

Links to other sites

The site links to our Google reviews, our social media pages and our members' training portal. Those services have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Changes to this statement

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date at the top.
